It is with a heavy heart that we close down the Foundation after almost eight years. A lot has happened and a lot of good things came from the Nicholas J. Murphy Foundation. Over one million dollars of legal services were provided by Murphy & Dunn to honor Nick and to benefit active duty military men and women and veterans. Those efforts will continue long after the Foundation ceases operations.
Much has happened personally and the time has come to officially close our doors. We must move on from the tragedy of Nick’s death and live life to the best of our ability moving forward, while still remembering the past. Nick Murphy will never be forgotten and his sacrifice and bravery will lead us to be the best version of ourselves that we can be. We will always strive to be “The Man in the Arena”, never being afraid to fail and always trying our best. We learned that from Nick.
Thank you everyone for your support over the years. We cannot possibly express our gratitude for everyone that was involved and helped us get through this family and community tragedy. Nick is truly missed and that will never change.
On a personal note, I also want to thank God for always giving me the strength to carry on, one day at a time. There were many days that I would not have survived without Him. I will always be eternally grateful until the day I meet Him in person and I am reunited with Nick.
