Now Hiring: Career-Minded Veterans with an Interest in Family Law

Today, at Murphy & Dunn, P.C., we added up how many family law cases we have undertaken and how much legal time we have donated the last seventeen months through the law firm of Murphy & Dunn plus the Nicholas J. Murphy Foundation Pro Bono Clinic to help veterans, military families and those less fortunate than us.

In just this short period of time, we have undertaken 39 family law cases and donated over $153,000.00 worth of family law legal services. To say I am proud and honored is an understatement. No one that we know of in the entire United States is doing what we are doing.

It feels good.

We are so happy to be able to report this news and be able to help so many people, all in honor of our third son and hero, Nicholas James Murphy. Our entire Murphy family (Theresa, Ed, Grant, Alec and Delaney) and our entire Murphy & Dunn law firm family have worked hard to make the Nicholas J. Murphy Foundation and the Nicholas J. Murphy Foundation Pro Bono Clinic a successful reality. The community support we have received is tremendous and we could not have done it without you.

Now we again need your help. I need this article to be shared to reach as many veterans as we possibly can.

We need veterans to apply for real jobs with our law firm Murphy & Dunn and with the Nicholas J. Murphy Foundation Pro Bono Clinic. These are real jobs that pay well, with benefits. We have made the decision that we are going to try to hire veterans and family members of veterans whenever possible to fill existing jobs. We have job openings for a family law attorney, family law paralegal, family law legal assistant or administrative assistant, and receptionist. We are growing and need qualified candidates to apply. These are jobs primarily for the Peoria, Illinois office, but can also include the Bloomington/Normal, Illinois, office as well.

We have been building our law firm for the past 31 years to be the best we can be. Now, because of Nick's death, we have added the pro bono clinic to our law firm to pay it forward to the community and to pay it back to veterans for their sacrifice, commitment and bravery. These active duty military men and women and veterans need our help. We have the expertise to do that. Now we want veterans to join us in this journey and join our firm, not just as clients, but as employees and part of our team.

Please share this with anyone you know who is a veteran or is a direct family member of a veteran and may be looking for a job in the legal field. We would love to have you apply. For more information and to apply, please visit our law firm's Careers page.

Funny how God works sometimes. It turns out that when you help other people, in turn God helps you. Thank you, Nick, for showing us the way.

We love you and miss you.
