2020 Military Christmas Grants

The Nicholas J. Murphy Foundation is proud to announce the Five RECIPIENTS of the $500.00 Military Christmas Grants this christmas season in honor of nick murphy and his sacrifice, COMMITMENT, and bravery.

Andre LeBlanc

Andre is a veteran who served in the United States Navy. Andre is active in his community as he and his family are part of different charities and actively involved with his Church.

George Gilmor, Jr.

George served and was honorably discharged from the United States Army. He and his family participate in the local community by helping out with the local theatre. He is most proud of his son, Joe, for being an all around great person, who is involved in the honors program, is chief editor of the school Newspaper, and is looking forward to completing his college degree and give back to the community.

Michael Haldeman

Michael is currently serving in the United States Army. He recently returned home after 17 months overseas. He is the definition of a great family man who puts his family above all else. He has overcome everything in his way and does so with grit and strength no matter the adversity.

Kristi Eledge

Kristi’s late husband Steven, served in the United States Navy. Kristi serves her community by being a foster mother for many children. During her time as a foster mother, she made a positive impact with everyone she met, including even adopting her now daughter. Kristi continues to be a positive influence.


Jason Cummins

Jason currently serves in the United States Army. Jason and his family are involved in the community by volunteering at the Animal Welfare League in Port Charlotte, Florida. He strives to be the best he can for his family and community and tries to teach everyone that no matter the circumstances, you can get back up and keep moving forward to your goals.
